Choose To Believe is Being Printed

On Monday, March 24th, I uploaded the final PDF to the printer.  According to them, I will see a proof copy this coming Monday, March 31st.  Once I approve the proof copy, they will proceed with printing, and I'll receive 3000 paperbacks within a few weeks.

I'm so excited!!

Today, I just sent off a few Advance Review Copies to the important reviewers in the book trade -- Publisher's Weekly, The New York Times, Library Journal, Booklist, and ForeWord Magazine.  Kirkus Reviews would have been another one, but they won't review self-help titles.

At this point, the next step is to prepare a pre-publication special offer.  This will be to encourage early sales to help pay the printing bill.  (Do you have any idea how much it costs to print 3000 paperback books?  A LOT!!)

After the pre-publication special gets rolling, the next step will be to set up a publisher's account at Amazon.com and BN.com to have the book listed on their sites.  I'll also establish accounts with other distributors, such as Quality-Books (for libraries) and Baker & Taylor (for bookstores).

Overall, I'll do everything I can to make the book available everywhere.

Once the distribution channels are in place, then the only thing left is marketing and publicity.  Well, there's developing other products, but let's get this one going first.  (Although honestly, I've got several ideas in mind - such as Belief Entrainment recordings, a companion workbook, and updates to my earlier books.)

For now, let's focus on the pre-publication special.

I'm planning to offer to autograph (for free) any book purchased before April 30th.  I'll also throw in a bonus gift, although I haven't yet decided what that will be.  Maybe a CD-ROM with the KTP Mastery System, a $67 value.  Maybe I'll do something like a 2-for-1 special for the first XX copies purchased.

Hmmmmmmmm
